On 6th June 2023, The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo has released two students of English Education study program for joining internship in Loei Province, Thailand. The students are Monicha Indriya Lestari and Riza Mafiroh. This international internship program is followed by several Muhammadiyah Universities around Indonesia such as Palopo, Gresik, Ponorogo, Sorong and Madura.
At the program, Monica and Riza should teach Thai students for four months a head. During internship, they are separated into two different school. Monicha is located on Ban Erawan School which is on the Erawan district. On the other hand, Riza is pointed in Ban Nonkokkha, took place at Phakhao district.
On the opening, Mr. Dr. Hidayatulloh, M.Si delivered his gratitude and motivation to the students, he said that their journey of internship is the part of way to show UMSIDA to the world, internship to the Thailand is kind of beginning to make world recognize about UMSIDA , “Walk on the earth of Allah SWT”, that’s quotation of Holy Qur’an (Al-Furqon :25) “you all don’t only bring yourselves but also our institution, you are the representation of us, just give the best, spread the benefit to Thai citizen, furthermore your journey be able to make the world know us, its the beginning”.
The rector also give advices and suggestions aimed to protect their healthy during finishing the program from July to October 2023, and also encourage them to bring out international papers as the output program.
Together with vice rector for student affair and cooperation, the director of cooperation and international affairs, vice dean and the head of English Education study program, the deliverance of the internship program took place at Rector room had been succeed.
