On August 27, 2024, a lively local product exhibition was held at the Children’s Center of Loei Wangsai. The event was attended by various groups, including the head of Loei Wangsai district and local community members. Rishma, an intern from Indonesia currently doing her internship at Loei Wangsai School, attended the event along with representatives from the school. They showcased various products created by the teachers and students of the school. The products on display included sandwiches, salted eggs, mulberry tea, chicken eggs, duck eggs, and a variety of fresh vegetables. All these items were the result of learning activities at the school that involved collaboration between teachers and students.
The teachers at Loei Wangsai School played a significant role in the production of each item. For example, Teacher Fern was responsible for making the sandwiches, ensuring their quality and taste. Teacher Nuy, known for her expertise in food processing, led the production of the salted eggs. Meanwhile, Teacher Prim oversaw the production of mulberry tea, which became one of the standout products at the exhibition.
In addition to food items, Loei Wangsai School also displayed various vegetables and eggs from chickens and ducks. The production process for these vegetables and eggs involved active participation from both teachers and students, who took turns caring for the plants and livestock. The care schedule was carefully organized to ensure that each product was of the highest quality, reflecting the hard work and dedication of everyone at the school.
The event was opened with a captivating traditional dance performance from Loei Wangsai. Four students from Loei Wangsai School—Dream, Kkung, Baipo, and Aokat—gracefully performed the dance with enthusiasm. This dance not only served as entertainment but also as a symbol of pride in the local culture, which continues to be preserved by the younger generation.
The presence of the head of Loei Wangsai district added to the lively atmosphere of the event. In his speech, the district head expressed high appreciation for all the exhibition participants, especially Loei Wangsai School, which successfully produced high-quality products through innovative educational approaches. The district head also gave a positive evaluation of all the products displayed, emphasizing the importance of the school’s role in advancing the local economy by developing students’ practical skills.
After the evaluation session, the local community members who attended the event were given the opportunity to purchase the exhibited products. The response from the community was very enthusiastic, and all the products from Loei Wangsai School sold out quickly. This was an outstanding achievement, showing that the products made by teachers and students not only have educational value but also significant economic value.
This local product exhibition not only served as a platform for product promotion but also as a venue for the community to interact and strengthen social bonds. The active participation of various parties, from students and teachers to the general public, reflected the strong sense of togetherness in Loei Wangsai.
For Rishma, this experience has undoubtedly become a valuable part of her internship in Thailand. Through this event, she not only learned about production processes and event management, but also witnessed firsthand how a community collaborates to achieve common goals. As an intern, Rishma’s involvement in this event provided her with new insights that will benefit her in the future.
This event also served as an inspiration for other schools around Loei Wangsai to develop similar programs, which focus not only on academic education but also on the development of practical skills that benefit both students and the community.
As the exhibition concluded, it is hoped that the collaboration between the school and the community will continue to grow stronger, bringing broader positive impacts to the entire Loei Wangsai community.
