Loei, Thailand (18/06/2024) – Ban Loei Wangsai Schoo had a special visit from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, often known as ‘Phra Thep or Angel Princess”, the adored sister of Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn. Princess Sirindhorn visited at 10 a.m. Thai time to look over the school, which has long been the centre of her attention.
During her visit, Princess Sirindhorn not only examined the school’s infrastructure, but also observed the students’ activities. The activities consisted of making salted eggs, sandwiches, and traditional Thai dancing.
Rishma, an intern from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, helped with this major event’s planning. Rishma conveyed her emotions, saying, “I’m glad to be working directly on Princess Sirindhorn’s visit preparations. I was inspired by the efforts made by everyone to welcome her. Learning how schools can serve as hubs for both community development and education was an invaluable experience for me.”
The Governor of Loei and his staff, the Loei Education Office, and hundreds of instructors from Loei Province’s numerous schools attended the ceremony as well. Their participation demonstrated great support for Princess Sirindhorn’s vision and goal to promote education and the well-being of Thais.
Princess Sirindhorn’s visit not only reenergized the students and teachers at Ban Loei Wangsai School, but it also emphasised the significance of inclusive and empowering education in shaping Thailand’s future. Princess Sirindhorn’s ongoing support is expected to drive the school’s development and advancement.
